Here is the debut of a new Decibel Geek series of posts that I'm christening "unbelievably good albums that are out of print and currently not available digitally either" (though as you can plainly see pictured above, it could also be included in the "unbelievably good albums with unbelievably bad album covers" series of posts).  First up is Neurotic Outsiders' one and only 1996 self-titled debut.

Neurotic Outsiders was a mid '90s supergroup of sorts featuring Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) on guitar & vocals, Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses) on guitar & vocals, Matt Sorum (Guns N' Roses, The Cult) on drums & vocals and John Taylor (Duran Duran) on bass & vocals.  Their music combined the rawness of '70s punk with the musicianship of '80s rock to create an album's worth of songs that are catchy as hell and sleazy as fuck both at the same time.

Which brings me to the point of this post - WHY THE HELL IS THIS ALBUM NOT AVAILABLE PHYSICALLY OR DIGITALLY???

An iTunes search turns up nothing but a video for the song "Jerk".  Speaking of which, I may take a page out of Chris' & AAron's playbook and do an "iTunes sucks" series of posts.  How 'bout it?
